Ableism in Nursing, Healthcare, & Community

Disability discrimination is systemic and internalized. Disparities exist in healthcare outcomes and workforce equity.

Presentations are tailored to pre-licensure, post-licensure, and leaders in healthcare audiences.

  • Many books are shown on library shelves.

    Faculty Development Workshop

Faculty development workshops are available to support faculty members in creating inclusive learning environments, specifically for those with disabilities.

This is often paired with consultation on revisions and updates to technical standards.

    Inclusive Learning Academy

This 8-session academy is tailored to those in continuing professional development across an organization.
The academy supports all learners as they progress through foundational knowledge, complete their own inclusive learning assessment for an upcoming educational activity, and develop an action plan to address the gaps and to create sustainability.

This course provides an estimated 16 contact hours for all participants, which can be coordinated with the partnering organization, or provided with the academy.

    Respectful & Equitable Practice

The foundations behind why diversity, equity, and inclusion are important. These presentations provide tangible opportunities to put the principles into practice.

Common areas of focus include cultural humility, creating inclusive environments, and allyship.
